I’m Meredith! I decided to create P&B after realizing that dog owners could be in the same boat that I was in years ago: stressed and unconfident. My dogs and I had a poor foundation and lacked a bond. Throughout the past 6 years in the training industry, I have learned how to create stronger relationships with my dogs and client's dogs. I hope that I get the chance to help you form a more solid and fun connection with your dog.

In 2016, I officially started working with dogs. I worked at various dog daycare centers and slowly learned more about dog training structure, dog behavior, and how to build a relationship with a dog. During the time I worked at a dog daycare structured by Chad Makin, I was introduced to proper training tools and education that came with them. I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and behavioral issues.

I began working at Unleashed Pet Rescue in 2020, where I received copious amounts of firsthand knowledge. My experience comes from fostering behavioral issue dogs that had backgrounds ranging from bite records, dog aggression, fear aggression, and reactivity, to later helping customers find a new family friend. Being an adoption counselor was my inspiration to start the service Rescue Me! – to help place a dog in the best home possible.

My personal dogs were a huge start to my training journey as well! Pretzel and I had to work diligently to form a new relationship and to help work on her reactivity. We currently are training for dock diving and disc trick training. Banshee is my service dog, who I’ve raised since she was 8 weeks old. I was able to apply my experience to her training and now Banshee is a well-rounded service dog.

I have also taken various classes from Michael Ellis, such as:

  • Teaching Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Obedience Training

  • Everyday Management

The latest seminar I went to provided lessons with Jay Jack, Larry Krohn, and Joel Silverman. I’m always looking to expand my education to better myself.

My latest educational pursuit:

BAT 2.0 : New practical techniques for fear, frustration and aggression by Grisha Stewart.

Service Dog Coaching - A guide for pet dog Trainers by Veronica Sanchez

The midnight dog walkers : positive training and practical advice living with reactive and aggressive dogs by Annie Phenix

Marissa Martino and Sarah Stremming's Reactive Set up Webinar

I look forward to being able to meet you and your pup!

Meet the Team

  • Founder/Owner

Meet Alejandro, the dynamic co-owner of P&B – a passionate individual dedicated not only to steering the ship but actively participating in the daily paws-on activities. As a versatile team member, Alejandro seamlessly transitions from being a skilled walker to a talented videographer, adept photographer, and even a sign-holding enthusiast.

With a heart for both canines and felines, Alejandro is a cat dad turned dog dad, bringing a unique perspective to the world of pet care. Beyond the business, he actively engages in walks, lessons, and boarding activities alongside Meredith, ensuring that your dog receives not just care but companionship from someone who genuinely loves what he does.

Having expanded his knowledge through seminars, including those led by renowned experts like Jay Jack, Alejandro has honed his understanding of dog behavior under Meredith's guidance. When not busy enriching the lives of dogs, he can be found indulging in his other passions – playing video games, giving his cat Kiki some well-deserved attention, and cherishing moments with his family. Alejandro's multifaceted role at P&B is a testament to his commitment to ensuring your pet's experience is nothing short of exceptional.

  • Meet Pretzel, the charismatic 5-year-old pit/GSP mix who found her forever home with Meredith in 2018. As a seasoned member of the family, Pretzel has been both a source of joy and a valuable teacher, illustrating to Meredith the nuances of welcoming a new dog into her life.

Pretzel's journey has not been without its challenges, as she navigated through the trials of reactivity around other dogs. Despite these hardships, Pretzel's resilience and Meredith's dedication have turned hurdles into triumphs, showcasing the transformative power of patience and positive reinforcement.

When she's not conquering behavioral milestones, Pretzel enjoys the simple pleasures of life. Whether it's lounging on the couch, engaging in an enthusiastic game of tug, or embarking on a scenic hike, Pretzel's zest for life is evident. Her unique blend of pit and GSP traits brings a dynamic energy to Meredith's household, making Pretzel not just a beloved pet but an integral part of the family.

  • Helper/Demo Dog

Meet Banshee, the heart and soul of P&B, a vibrant 3-year-old Flat Coated Retriever whose journey with Meredith began in 2020 when she was rescued from a shelter where Meredith dedicated her time. As a loyal companion and integral part of the P&B family, Banshee dons the roles of both demonstration and helper dog, showcasing her intelligence and cooperative spirit.

Banshee's prowess extends beyond the basics, as she excels in advanced obedience, embodying the success stories that arise from dedicated training and loving care. Always eager to learn and engage, Banshee is currently setting her sights on conquering new challenges, venturing into the exciting realms of disk and dock diving, showcasing her athleticism and boundless enthusiasm.

Not only a shining example of resilience and transformation, Banshee embodies the essence of the positive impact that can come from rescue and dedicated training. Her presence at P&B not only brings joy to Meredith but also serves as an inspiration.
